[2017-01-03: The rsts11travel category is moving to rsts11travel.com. This post will be available there as https://rsts11travel.com/2017/01/01/making-your-las-vegas-visit-as-rewarding-as-possible/ – please visit the new site for comments and updates.]
Greetings, and happy new year.
We are proud to launch rsts11travel.com, the RSTS11 travel blog. For now it will be a category within rsts11.com but that may change.
The goal for this sub-blog is to cover some travel-specific topics outside of tech, so that even friends and readers who aren’t technophiles or thought leaders or the like will be able to benefit from some of my adventures. Guest posts are a possibility; if you’d like to share a guest post let us know.
Watch for three Las Vegas-themed posts in the next week to start things with a pop. On the board to round out January 2017 are a mobile power post and a mobile caffeine post.
Also, we’re on Twitter as @rsts11travel and Facebook as facebook.com/rsts11travel – feel free to join us on those forums as well.
Help us help you, we’ll help you help us.
We will be offering some affiliate links (Amazon in particular) to help support, um, research for the blog. But we’ll also try to give back.
To start that practice, here’s our first giveaway, an Anker Powercore 10000 mAh power pack. This is the non-QC version, using Anker’s PowerIQ dynamic charging to give your device the best non-proprietary power it can handle. It comes with a Micro-USB cable for charging (or to charge your Android device), and you can use your own Lightning cable for modern iOS devices (or a 30-pin, or mini-USB, or USB-C cable, if you have other types of device to charge).
Tweet our welcome message this week for a chance to win the power pack. Note that this giveaway is sponsored by rsts11travel and Robert Novak, and while it is fulfilled by Amazon’s giveaway system, neither Amazon nor Anker endorses this giveaway or the site.
If you’d like to buy one of your own, feel free to use the Amazon affiliate links below. You can choose the standard version or the Quick Charge 3.0 version (for those of you with Android devices supporting QC).
So where do we go from here?
Let us know in the comments, or on Facebook or Twitter, what you’d like to see covered in upcoming rsts11travel articles. We have a lot of ideas but we’re open to suggestions. And have a safe and happy start to 2017, whether you’re traveling or staycationing!
